When NBA commissioner David Stern saw Rodman with the jersey during the press conference, he reportedly stepped in and informed the Mavs that they wouldn’t allow Rodman, or any player for that matter, to use the controversial number, Rodman then decided that he would wear jersey number 70 because according to him 69 plus one is 70. The Worm ended up playing just 12 games in Dallas.
